CATCH BACK PAIN BEFORE IT STARTS

Many people don't realize that they have back pain until long after the damage is done. The body is a complex structure and in many ways very resilient and very annoying. You can injure your back and your body will try and compensate for it. Finally however the body The body seems to work on a ‘better late than never’ system. Unfortunately the body seems to work on a ‘better late than never’ system. However from our point of view, at the time or never would be much better.

You may have an accident. It could be something simple like falling over, or twisting wrongly during a sport or game; or it could be more serious like a car accident.
You might be stiff and sore for a while, but then it goes away and you feel fine again. If you are lucky you are fine. However many times your back is trying to compensate for a problem but is not really telling you much about it. You might hurt a little but nothing that seems very serious so it's easy to ignore.

This could go on for years and years. Then suddenly your back is screaming, you can't sleep, you can't walk, sometimes it even deadens one of your legs, so you can't walk right either. Now it's only after extensive doctor and alternative medicine sessions that you think back to the time you hurt it. Far too late to do anything about it now. Now you have to try and rectify something that has taken years to settle into place. Something that is causing you a lot of pain and grief. Something that could very likely have been avoided it you had known what to do at the time.

Make sure you take preventative measures.

  • Always make sure you are checked out after an accident.

  • Any time you have an accident that involves big muscle groups and a lot of muscle stiffness. Once the pain and stiffness have subsided and you are beginning to feel OK again go have yourself checked by a good chiropractor.

  • Don't just rely on your doctor. They will most likely not suggest you see a chiropractor since a lot of them don't believe they do any good. Ask your friends or check out the ‘how to choose a chiropractor’ in Take control of your back. However you choose just make sure you go. You might think it's a waste of money now, but you could spend thousands and thousands of dollars later on trying to get rid of pain that you could prevent in a couple of visits now.
Treat yourself right, make sure your body is in good shape.

  • If you have any friends who have accidents make sure they understand the long lasting dangers and make sure they get checked out. They might not thank you for it, but if they don't do it, they might be wishing they had in the years to come.

  • Make sure your children are checked. So many injuries begin from childhood accidents that parents overlooked as non serious, but cause massive problems to the child when they mature.
